The Caliente nude resort located in Land O’ Lakes, Florida has been handed a suspension by the American Association for Nude Recreation (AANR) for hosting lifestyle friendly parties. It seems, the problem is they advertise these events on websites that are swinger friendly, and the association, which bills itself and it’s members as family friendly has started an investigation on the matter. Damien Priest is the owner of the now defunct website holidaytrade.com which allows fellow RVers to `swap` motor-homes in order to afford them a trip to regions they may not have otherwise visited. So what does swapping RVs have to do with swapping partners? Well, Damien has written an article `RV Owners Are Swappers - Not Swingers` and posted it to be reproduced on various other websites and he uses a swinging reference, quite effectively I might add, to get some attention to his home exchange website. OK, mental checklist time…we are swingers, we own an RV, we`ve swapped partners before, but never swapped an RV yet, hurray…something we haven`t tried yet!
Dixie Does Florida is the tag line but the website also points to Lifestyles Florida and a clothing optional splash party is what you can expect. May 15 to 18, 2008 in the Orlando area is where all the fun will be taking place. As mentioned, this is a clothing optional pool party with nightly entertainment, theme parties, lunch at the Parrot Head grill and of course play rooms. On the site, you can join others in the chat room, every Tuesday night at 9pm as well as join their mailing list. Several features on the website currently are not in working condition so save yourself some time and skip the guest book, contest section as well as meet and greets. As a bonus, because they don’t have a liquor license, the event is BYOB which would allow you to treat yourself to your regular preferred drink(s). Prices are posted on the site and are per couple, they even have limited spots if you want to bring your RV…did I mention this is a resort take-over? They also have a halloween party planned, but that’s for another post.
Lynnwood, Washington is where you will find the New Horizons swingers resort. Wednesday night potluck parties and they also include a continental breakfast for guest staying overnight. Some of the ammenitites you will find here on location are large multi-leveled main dining room, three large dance floors, one indoor and one outdoor hot tub, showers, changing area, lockers, video room, conversation pit with fireplace, massage table, many couples also enjoy sunbathing on the beautiful grounds during long weekend parties. Guest visiting from outside the Pacific Northwest are not required to become members.
American Low Life has been on our favorites list for quite a while now. Even though we have never been to Vegas (yet!) it’s always good fun to visit and see what is happening in sin town. If you are visiting Vegas, you can create a profile and let others know you are coming and you should get contacted in no time by other visitors and locals alike. They offer great reviews of the local hotels and attractions as well as coupons and the latest happenings in Las Vegas. Hollywood, Florida has a swingers resort that some claim feels just like visiting Hedo II. The Rooftop Resort is a nudist and swinger friendly clothing optional vacation spot located in sourthern Florida. However, if you are a local or are staying in the area, they also offer day passes as well. Located close to the Miami airport as well as the Fort Lauderdale airport, unlike being in Jamaica, there will be lots for you to do and see if you decide to visit this resort. The newsletter sign-up doesn’t work, so don’t bother trying to enter your email address. You’ve read about it on this site already but it seems that all is not going smoothly over at the newest Illusions resort. Here is the latest news from the resort: “The new Lifestyles Disco Club, delayed because of delivery problems (doesn’t it always happen!) is close to completion. The missing items are now in Mexico City waiting for delivery to Cozumel and Aura. The disco will be simply beautiful, enticing!
There will be many group tours in 2008 and other groups are booking as you read this. Traditionally, the group tours, such as over the 4th of July, Halloween and the Holiday Season, are sellouts. The message is - make your reservations as early as you can!
April marked the beginning of Aura Cozumel as a lifestyles couples’ resort. The April promotion special of the 7th Night/8th Day Free when 6 nights are paid has been extended for all reservations with arrival in May.

This is just the kind of place that we would fit right in with cabins, RV lots, tent spots, permanent lots, snowbird rates, and even daily entrance fees. Pool, club, food, drinks, and even bike rallies are just some of the offerings that Live Oak Resort has to offer. Website has lots of great pictures as well as more information than you will need in order to decide if this place will be right for you. And, it passes our number criteria for a resort, to have the resort map available online so we can study it before arriving…job well done!

We have been to Jamaica and our next destination will be Desire in Mexico. If you are also looking to travel there between August 1st and December 24, 2008 then this is a great time to book you trip. How does an ocean view room in Cancun for only 160$ per person sound? If you are not familiar with Desire resorts, they are an adults only destination. Swinger friendly, au naturel setting (nude), restaurants, bars, lounges, disco, gym and spa. Not to mention the activities, entertainment, land and water sports.
When surfing the web looking for new sources of swinger information I always fall upon some great little sites that I would not have found had I been searching for them directly. Moon Flower Resort and Spa is one of these sites and it looks like a great little place to hang your clothing while on holidays. The site is full of pictures, information and awful 90’s style web no-no’s that seem to work in this case. In almost all cases, it’s hard to read because of the super bad fonts, the day pass is next to impossible to make out but you know what? I want to go there next time I leave the country because I’m sold. It is a clothing optional resort and they mention that three is not a crowd there, however, there is no mention that this is a swingers friendly resort anywhere on the site? To confirm this, all you have to do is visit the links page that links exclusively to swingers websites.
We can’t speak for the past (read: before Internet) but have friends who have been in the lifestyle longer than the Internet has been around. They confirm that it was very difficult if next to impossible to actually make good connections. Maybe that’s why now that most of us like minded people have a computer that businesses have caught on that offering adult themed venues to spend our money will not be a waste. Cruises, resorts, camping, conventions, clubs, magazines, websites, books, DVDs, pod-casts, help, advice, how-to’s and the list goes on for all the products and services now available to swingers from all walks of life. You may have heard of Swingstock while watching the Playboy channel or even on HBO. We’ve become familiar with this event a while ago and one day will make it a point to attend as we are avid campers ourselves.
