It’s not often I’ll stop and read several blog entries as I just don’t have the time anymore. But this is one great blog where the writer lets you in on the secret world of swinging, even admitting at times to hating swingers. Great, loved it and the fact that it’s so candid will allow a person to understand what the writer is going through at the time. There is this couple see, their name is Nathaniel and Isabel, and one time they went out to play with the swingers. They posted their experience online in separate blogs. The first blog to read is Isabel and Nathaniel’s Sex Adventures and then you can move on to read Nathaniel’s A Night With The Swingers and last but not least, the beautiful (I’m assuming) Isabel writes about A Night at the Swingers Club. You will perhaps notice they are African bloggers which makes it a nice, different perspective on swinging stories.

We’ve had the opportunity to out ourselves as swingers on several occasions from neighbours to co-workers and friends. So far there hasn’t been any negativity from our coming out but that doesn’t mean that someday, someone will take offence to our lifestyle. Until then, bet some of you have never given a second thought to letting your family doctor know about your after hours activities. The other day, I was called in for test results and my doctor was filling out the next form to perform a series of more blood tests to get to the bottom of this matter. He asked me if I was sexually active, yes, with your wife only? No, but before he could have a chance to label me an adulterer in his mind, I just blurted out: we’re swingers doc! Now, my doctor is young, well dressed, good looking and pretty hip as far as we are concerned, but being from a different ethnic background and religion, he didn’t know what a swinger was. Imagine, here I was in the office explaining the concept of friends with benefits to my family doctor…you know, open marriage I said. He nodded as if understanding, but I think a part him was thinking this guy is putting me on to get a reaction, but in any case I ended up getting check boxes next to hepatitis tests as well as HIV, better safe than sorry!

A lady by the name of Ann offer a refreshing inside look at the world of hotel conferences. She was kind enough to submit this amusing story to gaffeaminute.com and her use of the word dizzying is a nice change from the usual negative we usually see associated with lifestyle stories. Here is the story: “In Full Swing - I was a hotel salesperson eagerly booking my first event: a large association wanted to reserve the ballroom, all the meeting rooms, and hundreds of guest rooms for a three-day conference. At the weekly sales meeting I proudly detailed my success. But then one of my coworkers asked what kind of association it was. “They’re swingers!” I said. “You know, swing dancing.”  Everyone started laughing. Finally one of my colleagues leaned forward and patted my arm. “No,” she said kindly. “They’re swingers. That means they trade partners—and not for dancing.” The contract was already signed, and for three dizzying days I had to serve as hostess to hundreds of swingers. —Ann”

The idea of seriously researching this topic by immersing yourself for an entire year, having many partners and then writing a novel about it is just fantastic! We have been in the lifestyle for several years now and this article would have been a great read when we first started out. Written from the perspective of a Slave, it still very much applies to regular lifestyle swingers.
