The book ‘Open Marriage’ by Nena and George O’Neill was published in 1972 and is a little dated today but from all accounts of this mini review, it would be a good read if you are at all interested in the concept of open marriage.
Odysseus and Penelope are a married couple in their 30s and in this blob post, they ponder the big question…swinging versus polyamory. It’s an interesting read and sure makes you look at the issue in a different way. Go ahead and read Married Exploits, they have some other lifestyle related posts as well. Russell Goldman of ABC news wrote a story last summer called Are Open Marriages More Successful Than Traditional Couplings? It’s about swingers and even touches on the topic of Polyamory slightly. I’ll warn you right now, the link to read the exclusive interview with Gay Talese is dead, but I persisted and was able to find the mentioned interview here. It’s always nice to get the lifestyle mentioned in any news media, but to have the big boys reporting on it can only help increase our member base.
Different is a good way to start describing this group of sexually aware religious folk. Altough my better half is from a different religious background, neither of us has ever felt that swinging was a religious no-no and from what this site has to offer, it seems we are not alone. It appears that the main focus is on polyamory as well as worshiping the sybian, however they do have a nice section on swinging. There is lots of reading to do as well as a forum to visit, so well worth the bookmark if your into being sexually and religiously aware.
