This famous club hosts parties seven nights a week and has been hosting private parties since the early eighties so you can be sure they understand what it takes to run a swingers party. Chris Vee seems to have his act together when it comes to entertaining swingers at swingers clubs. You take someone who actually has experience in the lifestyle and then comments on all the funny quirks that we all know exist, but he can put it in such a way to make you laugh your ass off. His website is hard to look at and has a very amateurish look to it but is chalk full of content that is very impressive. Chris has written the new American English swingers dictionary available on his website as well as selling a DVD of his act performed live in a swingers club. This DVD would make a great addition to every swingers club to show on those nights where you just need something a little different to entertain the crowd. Oh yeah, Chris is available for direct bookings as well.
Swingtown is a television drama about a 70s couple who moves to Chicago and runs into their friendly neighbours only to realise that they come with benefits! It is scheduled to run May 29th, with 13 episodes, so we will keep you updated as more details are revealed for the show. I’ve never heard of Stuart Jacobson until I read this news article. I decided to do a bit more research and turns out he’s an interesting fellow. He is a comic songwriter, emcee, writer, speaker, and celebrity to the lifestyle. If you are interested in finding out how he got started and more, go read his blog. It took a while to go through this npr story which includes many audio snippets as well as a discussion on the topic of vice. It’s well worth the bookmark for later reading if you don’t have the time right now. There is a sample chapter included and of course swingers are featured to my delight. Any promotion of the lifestyle is good news in our book and this book (pun intended) seems to put across similar values as we have as far as swinging and the lifestyle is concerned. Should be a great read as Peter Sagal is a radio host and book author, the book itself is a hard cover 272 pages long and I don’t know if it will see the light of day as an ebook anytime soon?
We’ve started playing this game with another couple we used to hang out with a while back. They were the first out of town couple we met and even though trips out of town weren’t as often as we’d like, we took turns and came up with this basic set of overnight etiquette rules:
-The host pays for the babysitter and pizza if plans include going out for the night.
-Kids must follow the rules where they are at to avoid parental issues. For example, at our house all the kids stay at the dinner table until every kid is done eating…when your kids visit, we expect them to follow this rule as well.
-Now that you are in the lifestyle, you should always have a small over-night bag in your car just in case (a) you’ve had too much to drink and you should sleep it off before driving or (b) you’ve too much fun and you should lay down in my bed for a while before leaving…lol!
-Overnight bag content suggestions: condoms, lube, contact solution, medication (aspirin, viagra, allergy and such…), candy/mints/gum and a power bar for those long nights. Don’t forget your ‘adult toys’ and the kids blankie!!!
-If the kids are playing video games, then everyone must play (multi-player games only) or taking turns otherwise nobody plays any games.
-Pets are family members too so make sure to discuss with the host if they have a pet in case there are allergies in your family. Also, if you wish to bring your pet, make arrangements first.
-Hosts, be sure to have a variety of toiletries available to your guest. Make handy a bundle of towels enough for each person. Supply robes (if possible) if you are having a hot tub party.

Couples International has made headlines lately because of changes to their business type. The clubs owners Bryan and Leesa Horn are trying to have their venue recognized as more of a nightclub type than your typical swingers club. It is still a place where adults can come to have sex if they so choose. A blog called: Emily Everywhere has lots of discussion on this as well as a video interview with the club owners. It’s always nice to see what the regular folks think about swingers once they go beyond the stereotypes. You can read an article as well as view the club’s website.
I was just a sperm and an egg when this show premiered and even though I am a couch potato, I can’t honestly say I have ever heard of this show. The review is well written and has given me enough interest to check out this 70s show in the very near future as season 1 and season 2 are now available on DVD. For those Internet savvy people, some of the episodes are available for download on various torrent sites.
